Your partnership with additiv: what to expect

The first 100 days with a B2B communications agency decide how successful the partnership will be in the long run. So it helps to know what happens in those first three months. In that time we set shared goals and build trust. We also reach the first milestones. Our onboarding process draws on almost 30 years of working with B2B companies.

How to get started with us

Wait, one step back! Even before you choose an agency, there are a few questions you should ask yourself.

  1. Does the agency have experience in your industry?

  2. Can it show cases or reference projects with results?

  3. Does it have all the necessary skills and resources in-house?

  4. Does your direct contact have expertise in your field?

  5. Will the agency give you a dedicated team?

  6. Are there processes and tools for working together? Is the service level for personal support defined?

  7. Does the agency set up the partnership strategically and bring the right methods?

You have set out your expectations. Great!

Now it is time to get to know each other. Usually this starts with a phone call. You will quickly see whether we are a good fit and whether we tick the boxes that matter to you. Ideally the answer is: it’s a match!

Then comes our first proper meeting: a workshop with agency pitch. You learn which methods we use and how we develop our clients. We learn where your marketing stands today and where you want to take it.

After the meeting we prepare a situation analysis and recommended measures for you. At our second meeting we present our topic and campaign planning.

You now know what we have in mind for you. Time to make it official! The contract covers everything from usage rights to fees. The liability agreement covers any risks. And then we are ready:

Welcome to additiv!

The first 30 days

After the contract is signed, a lot happens, mainly on the strategic and organisational side. Our collaboration begins. We settle the basics and set up our joint project methodically.

Contact person and team

Your personal consultant leads the project and is responsible for its content. Your project team also includes

  • an editor trained specifically on your products and solutions
  • an Account Director responsible for controlling and targets
  • specialists from our expert pools such as SEO, social media, video, design and editorial marketing

Kick-off workshop

We specify your expectations and goals and define KPIs and reporting. Processes and tools are agreed, along with the details of account management. We also refine the planning of topics and measures.

Product training

Our team gets to know your solutions and products in depth, ideally on site at your company.

Competitor analysis and wording

Of course we take a close look at how your competitors communicate. That shows us where you stand and where we can do better.

Project methodology

For maximum transparency we document and improve all processes and standards of our collaboration as we go.

Project controlling

In regular status meetings we update each other on results and KPIs and check them against the goals. Your Account Director keeps an eye on everything in the background and steps forward when needed.

The second and third month

The organisation is in place. Now the plans come to life. We build your campaigns and channels. In the first quarter of the contract year the individual projects begin to show results.

From now on we keep your editorial and campaign plan up to date. Depending on the goals we have set together, we fill your platforms and channels, bring your buyer personas to life, build your keyword set and start with SEO and SEA. The first articles about you appear in the trade press. Our team also starts introducing you to the editors of German business media such as Handelsblatt and FAZ.

If your company is new to the German market, we show you how the German trade press works and which titles your buyers read.

The first 100 days are over. What next? Day 101 to 365.
