Social media ads for your sales team. Better leads, more deals.
Your customers check LinkedIn long before they get in touch. With social media ads from additiv you reach the people who decide on your offer, right where they look.
Organic content alone no longer does the job on social media.
With paid content we put your offers into the feeds of your buyer personas. That way you also reach the part of your target group that does not yet follow your company.
We have worked with companies from logistics, robotics, mechanical engineering, industry, chemicals and IT for almost 30 years. We know the markets and the trade media. Above all we know the people who make decisions in these sectors. This knowledge is the basis of every campaign we develop. For international companies we run campaigns aimed at German-speaking decision-makers and work with you in English.

Ads from your press work
Industrial companies often have more material for good ads than they use. A customer case study answers exactly the questions prospects ask before they get in touch. A bylined technical article shows that your team understands the problem. We turn this material into ads that people grasp in the feed within seconds. Because additiv also handles press relations for many clients, the technical text and the campaign come from one team.
Frequently asked questions about B2B social media ads
What does a social ads agency do for industrial B2B companies?
A social ads agency plans paid campaigns on LinkedIn as well as on Facebook and Instagram and runs them. This covers audiences, ads, tracking and ongoing optimisation. In industrial B2B the offer also has to be explained so that engineers and buyers can place it within seconds. At additiv campaigns therefore draw on the sector knowledge we have built over almost 30 years in logistics, robotics, mechanical engineering, industry, chemicals and IT. How we manage your channels organically is described on our page on B2B social media.
What goals are LinkedIn ads suited to in B2B?
LinkedIn ads work wherever you want to reach a clearly defined professional audience. Typical goals are enquiries for a product that needs explaining, whitepaper downloads, registrations for webinars or trade fair appointments and awareness in a new market segment. Before the start we agree with you which goal the campaign serves. Format and audience follow from it. So does the way we measure success.
Which platform suits which audience: LinkedIn or Facebook and Instagram?
For decision-makers in industrial B2B LinkedIn is almost always the first channel. There you can filter by job function, seniority, industry and company size. Facebook and Instagram make sense when your audience is hard to reach through job data. One example is owners of small trade and retail businesses. Reach is usually cheaper there than on LinkedIn. Often the two channels complement each other. We describe search ads on Google on our page on SEO and SEA.
How precisely can you target industrial decision-makers on LinkedIn?
Very precisely, because LinkedIn works with professional data. We combine job function and seniority with industry and company size. Region comes on top. For example an ad can reach maintenance managers in food production plants in German-speaking countries. Audiences that are too narrow make a campaign expensive and deliver too little data. We therefore check before the start whether the size fits the goal. Excluding competitors and students also helps.
How does account-based marketing work with LinkedIn ads?
In account-based marketing a list of target accounts comes first. We upload this company list to LinkedIn as an audience. Within these companies we narrow down to the functions involved in the buying decision. That way the buying centre of a target account sees the same message from different angles over several weeks. Alignment with your sales team is important. Sales provides the list and knows when a company has responded.
Which ad formats work for products that need explaining?
Technical products need formats that leave room for an explanation. Document ads show a PDF such as a data sheet or a customer case study directly in the feed. Carousel ads guide viewers through a function or a process in several cards. Video ads show a product in use. Short footage from the plant is often enough. Single image ads suit a clear single message such as an invitation to your trade fair stand.
What are thought leader ads?
Thought leader ads let you promote posts that people have published on their own LinkedIn profile. This can be your managing director or an expert from your development team. The person approves the post for promotion. On LinkedIn personal posts usually come across as more credible than ads from a company page. Thought leader ads combine this effect with the precise targeting of paid distribution.
How do technical articles and case studies become ads?
We cut the text down to its core message and look for the strongest image or quote. This becomes a document ad with the key pages or a carousel ad that tells the case in a few cards. A whitepaper becomes a download offer on your landing page. The ad links to the full version so that prospects can dig deeper. A technical text works twice this way: in the trade press and in your audience’s feed.
Which metrics matter for B2B social ads?
It starts with the question of what the campaign should achieve. If you want enquiries, we look at conversions and cost per lead. What matters in the end is how many of these leads your sales team rates as qualified. Awareness campaigns are measured by reach within the audience and click-through rate. Likes alone say little in B2B. We agree the metrics before the start and report on them regularly.
Can social ads be used in line with the GDPR?
Yes, if tracking is set up properly. The LinkedIn Insight Tag and the Meta Pixel set cookies and therefore only run with consent via your cookie banner. Your privacy policy has to name both services. You sign the agreements the platforms provide for advertisers. We set up the tracking and align it with your data protection officer. We do not replace legal advice.
How do social ads support a trade fair appearance?
Before the fair, ads targeted by industry and job function invite your target customers to your stand. During the fair, image and video ads keep your presence visible. They also reach everyone who does not travel. Afterwards you reach visitors to your trade fair landing page a second time. For LogiMAT we offer a fixed package for this. How we support trade fairs overall is described on our page on trade fair PR in Germany.
Do campaigns also run in English and in several countries?
Yes. We write ads in German and English and steer them separately by country and language. A campaign can run in German in German-speaking countries and in English in other European markets at the same time. Separate campaigns per language make the results comparable. We work with international clients in English throughout.
