Günther + Schramm: we forge steel content

Günther + Schramm and additiv have worked as one team since 2003. The collaboration keeps developing. Its results can be measured in the trade press and online.

The task: visibility for a system service provider

We started working with Günther + Schramm in 2003. The goal was to consolidate the company’s position as a leading system service provider for steel, stainless steel and aluminium in southern Germany. G + S was to be present in the trade press and in its own region. Our tasks were to strengthen the online presence and extend its reach. Social media marketing was to be built up as well. In earlier years, the brief also covered the company’s profile as an employer and training company.

“True to our motto ‘Focus on your best, outsource the rest’, we concentrate on our steel and aluminium products and leave communication to our partner additiv. They know their trade, just as we know ours. And the results clearly show that we are on the right path.” Bernd Seibold, Managing Director, Günther + Schramm GmbH (translated from German)

The solution: a content hub for the steel trade

Classic trade press relations are our home ground. For G + S we went further. G + S Magazin was created as an online content hub, a kind of Wikipedia for steel traders. Our studies give the market specialist content, which we promote on every relevant channel: white papers, blog, news, newsletters, trade press and social media. Each campaign is tailored to the buyer personas. In earlier years the work also included a separate trainee website for Gen Z.

The results: new users and leads

Günther + Schramm is an established name in the steel market. Its publications show it. Online, the curve is pointing upwards: G + S Magazin has brought more than 1,200 new users to the company. Our inbound marketing campaign for the study generated 40 leads within the first six weeks. The earlier employer branding work paid off as well: G + S regularly took on new trainees. At the time, 16 young people were training at the company, which had 180 employees. And we are far from done.
